We apply Stomatology with the aim of preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases of the oral cavity, maxillomandibular complex and salivary glands, allowing distinctive cases to be treated in our clinic with comfort and with all of the latest technologies available. Prevention, as well as acting quickly and efficiently has always been our top priority at Claris. Within this new domain, our professionals are well equipped to more accurately diagnose all cases, which makes it possible to rehabilitate patients in a shorter length of treatment and with better results.
Contrary to what one might believe, stomatology does not specifically care for the teeth, but for the whole stomatognathic system: oral cavity, lips, oral mucosa, salivary glands, oropharynx and maxillomandibular complex. With the broadening of the knowledge of pathology and dental technologies, Stomatology has become one of the only areas of Dentistry that has a direct connection with other specialties even outside the dental field.
In addition to studying and dealing with specific problems of oral health diseases, Stomatology assists with diagnosing systemic diseases as well as referring to other specialists who can better prescribe treatment for diseases that present symptoms such as marks around the mouth, anemia, diabetes and even HIV. Stomatology aids in diagnosing those conditions through identifying related signs in the mouth.
