UBATUBA
Located on the north coast, 95 km (59 miles) from Taubate, Ubatuba is one of Brazil’s most beloved coastal towns. With exuberant views and within a national reservation (Mata Atlantica – The Atlantic Forest). Ubatuba boasts more than 80 beaches which make all visitors fall in love.
FOZ DO IGUAZU
Located in the state of Paraná, on the border with Paraguay and Argentina, Foz do lguazu is world famous for its waterfalls in a set of 275 waterfalls on the River lguazu, being one of the greatest beauties of the country. It is located 1,170 km (727 miles) south of Taubate.
PARATY
Paraty is a historical town regarded as one of Brazil’s cultural treasures. It is located in the State of Rio de Janeiro, 180 km (112 miles) from Taubate. Besides beautiful beaches and several trails within the forest, Paraty features colonial architecture, which embodies the rich history of the town.
CAMPOS DO JORDÃO
Located at an altitude of 1,628 m (5341 feet) and at 44 km (27 miles) from Taubate, Campos do Jordao is known as the Brazilian Switzerland, due to its architecture inspired by European design and its weather with colder than country’s annual average. Furthermore, it is also known for its rich culture featuring culinary and musical festivals and a tourist center full of restaurants, chocolate shops, bars with craft beer and cable cars.
APARECIDA
Located within Vale do Paraiba, half way between Brazil’s largest metropolitan areas: Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. A major religious destination, Aparecida is also known as Brazil’s “Capital of Maronite Faith”, and hosts an avarege 11 million visitors per year. The city of Aparecida makes for Latin America’s largest religious pilgrimage destination.
FERNANDO DE NORONHA
The Fernando de Noronha Archipelago belongs to the state of Pernambuco. It is made out of 21 islands extending for 26 km² (10.04 sq miles). It was first formed approximately 12 thousand years ago by volcanic eruptions. With stunning beaches, boat and buggy rides, trails and restaurants, the islands enchant everyone who visits.
MORRO DE SAO PAULO
Village with beaches and stunning landscapes in the state of Bahia, Morro de Sao Paulo is an island, with access by boat or plane only. No cars are allowed to circulate there, so the island becomes a special place to relax and experience the wonders nature offers.
RIO DE JANEIRO
With its stunning beaches, Rio de Janeiro has samba and bossa nova as its famous soundscape, being an incredible place to simply stroll around.
